Anger is a human emotion like any other. We all get angry – road rage is as pervasive as the common cold! But when anger spirals out of control, it can hurt loved ones, and even lead to legal or job-related consequences.
Learning to cope with anger takes time, but therapy can help! We’ll work together to identify what triggers your anger, discuss strategies to manage your emotions, and ways to de-escalate conflicts with others. Often there are other emotions underlying anger (sadness, jealousy, resentment, disappointment, shame), and we can explore those to help you heal in the long-term.
